How we redesigned BetterConsulting without rewriting its content

A new interface with the existing copy and functionality kept intact: that was the brief for BetterConsulting.

The design decision: change the presentation while using the client’s existing content as the reference throughout the redesign.

One admin dashboard for the CMS and CRM

The dashboard brings two team tasks together: updating website content and following up on enquiries. The homepage editor and incoming enquiries are both one step from the opening screen.

Enquiries (CRM)

The CRM organises incoming enquiries and helps the team track their stage, assignee and next contact. The public form collects the information; the team’s work with it starts here.

Content (CMS)

The CMS lets the team update text, services, testimonials and images. Homepage content is grouped by section and can be edited for each language.

What was already there, and what changed

The original site had services, consultant details, FAQs, an interactive guide, a form and Romanian and Russian text. The brief called for keeping them, without new messaging.

The original centred its main message on a blue background. The redesign uses two columns, a dark background and violet accents; the consultant’s photograph and experience appear on the opening screen. We also checked the text and choices in the interactive flows.

The current site has separate Romanian and Russian routes; the original switched languages within one page using JavaScript.

For BetterConsulting, the delivered work includes the website redesign, a CMS for content and a CRM for enquiries.
